Dr. Ryan is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology
and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is an internationally
published author of 19 articles on pain management and medical emergencies.
Dr. Ryan received bachelor’s degrees from both Northwestern University
and the University of Illinois, where he received his dental degree.
He completed postgraduate training in surgery and anesthesiology at the
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and has practiced in
the Dallas area. Of his extensive training in pain management and medical
emergencies, Dr. Ryan says, “Patients can feel confident they have
a pilot who knows how to fly the plane.”

Gordon Hon, DDS
Dr. Gordon Hon has been
a fixture in the area for nearly 30 years, and has practiced dentistry
for 42 years. He has treated as many as four
generations of local families,
and is known for his gentle manner. A graduate of Abilene Christian University
and Baylor Dental School, Dr. Hon admits he gets “real attached” to
his patients and treats them like family. “Dentistry is very different
than it used to be,” he says. “There’s no reason to hurt anyone.
I don’t believe in hurting people and I want them to feel comfortable.” Dr.
Hon evidently succeeds at this mission, as many of his patients fall asleep during
treatment. One small boy had such a good time he even wanted to celebrate his
birthday at Dr. Hon’s office.
Our Team
In addition to Drs. Ryan and Hon, our team includes two dental hygienists,
two dental assistants and two front office staff members. We believe it says
a lot
about our practice that five of our six team members have been here longer
than five years, and four have been with us from eight to 13 years. This
means our
team boasts a level of expertise second to none and a familiarity with our
patients putting everyone at ease. As the office manager says, “Our patients are
our friends. They know we care.”
